About Me

Hey there,

I’m Chris DeVocht—a soon-to-be published author, coach, and trailblazer, passionate about helping people achieve their best health. My journey hasn’t been easy. For most of my life, I struggled with weight loss, chasing diets and trends that ultimately left me in such poor health I nearly lost my life. It took me four years with this new approach to reclaim my health, and today, I’m in better shape—physically and mentally—than ever before.

With 17 years of experience as a competitive athlete and dedicated studies in exercise and nutrition, I’ve made it my mission to understand how the human body truly works. I believe health should be simple, that the body knows best, and that addressing root causes—not masking symptoms—is the key to lasting wellness.

My Personal Life

Outside of coaching, I’m an explorer at heart. You’ll often find me weightlifting, hiking, traveling, paddleboarding, or playing badminton. I’m fascinated by learning and building—whether it’s a structure, a company, a stock portfolio or a webpage. When I’m not pursuing these passions, I love spending time with family, friends, and pets.

My Health Journey

I wasn’t always the picture of health. As a child, I was active, but an addiction to video games and unhealthy eating habits led to significant weight gain. By the time I was 17, I weighed 220 lbs at 6’2″—with little muscle to show for it. I knew I wanted better for myself, and so began my fascination with health and exercise.

I threw myself into the world of fitness: running, triathlons, boxing, powerlifting, bodybuilding, and diving deep into the world of nutrition and diets. Over the next few years, I experienced a dramatic physical transformation. By 23, I was unrecognizable from my former self. On the surface, I looked healthy—lean, muscular, and seemingly thriving. But the truth? I was far from it.

Despite my appearance, I was chronically over-dieted, my testosterone levels were low, sleep was poor, recovery was slow, and I constantly battled anxiety. My body, under years of relentless stress and nutritional depletion, was teetering on the edge. Then, quite suddenly, it all came crashing down.

I went from being physically capable of nearly anything to completely bedridden. The diagnoses came rolling in: Lyme disease, mold toxicity, chronic fatigue, multiple chemical sensitivity, mast cell activation syndrome—you name it. I was overwhelmed, physically broken, and unsure if I could ever recover.

That was my wake-up call. I realized I had been mistreating my body, depleting vital nutrients, and ignoring the signals it had been sending me. My body’s systems had begun to fail, creating a cascade of disease states that only made things worse. Medications offered little relief, often adding to my symptoms rather than solving them. I had to find another way.

I started by listening to my body. I simplified my diet, focusing on the foods that caused the least symptoms to buy myself time. Despite following widely popular advice, I realized where I had gone wrong with nutrition and adjusted my approach, tuning my diet to work with my body rather than against it. Slowly but surely, I began to heal. Basic mineral supplementation further accelerated my recovery, and step by step, I rebuilt my health.

Now, at 34, I feel as good as I did at 24—if not better. My sleep, energy, and confidence have returned, and I continue to make improvements that push me beyond what I thought was possible.

This isn’t just a story about recovery—it’s the foundation of my approach to health. My journey was a matter of life or death, and I chose to live. I was fortunate to find answers and guidance from incredible researchers and mentors along the way, and now I’m here to share those answers with you.
